Anxiety has become much more prevalent among many since the pandemic first started. I too have suffered from anxiety before I really knew what anxiety was. When I was working my 9 to 5 and doing hours nonstop of overtime, I had a major panic attack. This particular panic attack woke me up out of out my sleep where I felt like I couldn’t catch my breath and sent me straight to the emergency room. It’s so important that we love and listen to our bodies, get adequate amounts of sleep, rest when needed, and not over work ourselves. We have to treat out temples well and not let the pressures of this life pull us in different directions. Mark 6:31 NIV says Then Jesus said , ” Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest a while.” It’s really okay to take a time out when you need to. You are entitled to it. That could be taking more time for a vacation or simply using those personal days because you just need to without having any plans. Now when anxiety tries to show up I can handle it better and not let it handle me. Of course that help came through wise professional counseling and therapy of which is still apart of my life to this day.
