Minimalist journal with flower sketch reflecting peace and purpose -Christ is the abundance

Why Jesus Will Always Be The Goal

I’ve spent years surrounded by conversations about money, success, and financial breakthrough.  I’ve seen seasons of overflow and seasons of stretching.  But one truth has become unshakable in my life. Christ is the abundance.

In this post, I’m sharing faith based perspective on money, financial stewardship, purpose, and what it truly means to put Jesus at the center of everything we pursue.  If you’re building a business, serving in ministry, or simply trying to navigate financial decisions with clarity, this is for you.  Let’s talk about why Jesus will always be the goal even in a world chasing wealth.

I’ve seen what it looks like when money flows freely, when checks that cover a years salary arrive, when resources seem endless, and when financial overflow becomes part of your normal rhythm.  I’ve been around it long enough to know that having more doesn’t always mean having peace.

At one point, I believed that if I could just reach a certain level financially, things would feel more secure.  But I’ve learned that stability doesn’t come from money.  It comes from God.

Over time I’ve come to this deep conviction.  Money is a tool.  It is not the goal.  Jesus is the goal.

The Illusion of More vs. True Abundance In Christ

There’ s a myth we’re constantly sold. That if we just had more we’ be happier, freer, more fulfilled.  But the truth is more money often comes with more pressure, more to manage, more decisions to make, and more opportunities to drift from what truly matters if you’re not grounded.

I’ve lived in seasons of plenty and in seasons of lack. And in both, I’ve seen how easy it is to let money take center stage unless Christ is firmly established as the anchor.

Money isn’t evil. In fact, God can use it as a resource to bless others, build communities, and meet real needs.  But it was never meant to be worshipped.  It was never meant to replace him.

Christ Is the Abundance Not The Bank Account

There’s a deeper truth that I’ve come to carry. Christ is the abundance. Not just something he gives, but who he is.  When we make money the main focus, we begin to treat God like a means to an end.  But he is not a transaction.  He is the treasure.  All the financial success in the world can’t fill the void that only Christ can satisfy.

True abundance is found in peace, joy, wisdom, and purpose. Gifts that don’t fluctuate with bank accounts.  When our hearts are aligned with his we stop chasing and start stewarding.

Stewardship Begins When We Know Christ is The Abundance

I’ve learned that we are stewards, not owners.  Every resource, opportunity, and dollar is something God entrusts to us not to hoard, but to honor him with.  This mindset shift changes everything.  It reminds me to ask, “Lord what do you want me to do with what you’ve given me?  It changes how I give, how I save, how I spend and most importantly, it changes my posture.  No longer striving to prove anything, but simply living in obedience.

Why Jesus Must Always Be the Goal in Faith, Finances, and Purpose

If you’re in a season where you’re praying for provision, launching something new , or navigating the tension between ministry and money take a moment to pause.

Ask yourself

Is Jesus still the goal? Is he still at the center of what you’re building?

Money will come and go. But Jesus remains.  He is the source, the sustainer, the peace, and the purpose behind every blessing.

Let’s never loose sight of that.

At the end of the day, when the noise quiets and the numbers fade, one truth still stands Jesus is the goal.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all things will be given to you as well.  Matthew 6:33  NIV
