Life often presents us with unexpected and challenging transitions, and the last few days of this month have been particularly bittersweet for me.  If you haven’t seen my latest Instagram post, I shared the heartbreaking news of the sudden loss of our beloved Frenchie, Gutta.  On the day I went to pick him up from his service appointment, I was devastated to learn that he had collapsed and was rushed to the hospital where he passed away.  My world was shattered.

Adjusting to life without Gutta, who had been a constant part of my daily routine for so long, has been incredibly difficult.  His absence is deeply felt, and he will be sorely missed.  In this time of transition, I’m reminded of the importance of leaning on faith and community.  As I move forward, I’m setting my intentions for the upcoming month with a focus on healing and growth.

 Finding Strength in Scripture

One scripture that has brought me comfort during this challenging time is Joshua 1:9: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”  This verse has been a source of strength and reassurance, reminding me that I am not alone.

My Top 3 Goals for June

As I look ahead to June, I’m setting three main goals to help guide me through this period of transition.

  1. Prioritize Wellness and Self-care: I plan to schedule more time for activities that nurture my physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.  Taking care of myself is crucial as I navigate this new chapter.
  2. Embrace Business Growth: I’m focusing on learning and developing new skills to drive my business forward.  Embracing new opportunities and challenges with resilience and determination is key.
  3. Preparing for Upcoming Retreats: I have two retreats that I plan to attend this year, and I aim to tie up any loose ends related to wardrobe, travels, and packing.  These retreats are opportunities for renewal and connection, and I want to be fully prepared to make the most of them.  As I gear up for the retreats ahead, I’m excited to share that there are still tickets available for the Renew Retreat + Conference happening in October of this year in Atlanta.  This retreat promises opportunities for renewal and connection.  If you’re interested in joining me, you can find more details and secure your spot here.

If you’re also setting your goals for June,  I highly recommend a resource that has been incredibly helpful for me.  As part of Chrystal Evan’s Hurst Inner Circle, I’ve been using a goal setting template every month that keeps me focused and motivated. You can access the template for June here.

Currently Reading

I’m currently immersed in a profound Bible study titled “Winning the Worry Battle” by Barb Roose. This study based on the book of  Joshua couldn’t have come at a more fitting time.  In the wake of recent transitions and challenges, the lessons from this study resonate deeply with me.  It’s been a source of strength and guidance as I navigate through this period of change and loss, especially finding comfort after the passing of Gutta. If you’re looking for a great bible study for your life group, I highly recommend this one.  It’s been a source of strength and guidance, helping to cultivate inner peace during times of uncertainty.

Recipe Highlight

Lately, I’ve been enjoying a refreshing and easy-to-make drink that’s becoming a delightful treat at home.  It’s an Almond Matcha Latte with Caramel Sauce, and it only requires three simple ingredients. In my Tabitha Brown’s voice, “Let’s make some, shall we?”

Giving Back and Support for Cancer Survivors

Additionally, for the Renew Retreat + Conference that I’ll be attending, MHD Society, a community that I am a part of, will be partnering with Intentionally Pretty, a 501 (c) (3) organization, to support cancer survivors by gifting them 125 care bags.  Your donations can make a difference in the lives of these survivors. If you like  to contribute, please visit this link to donate here.

Final Thoughts

Thank you all for your continued support and understanding during this time.  Your kindness and encouragement mean the world to me, and I appreciate each one of you more than words can express.

With Gratitude,
