Hope you all had an amazing Christmas. I can’t believe that the new year is finally upon us. I was so accustomed for many years to writing out my New Year’s resolutions list but lately I have decided to pick one word for the new year. Not just any word but one that really resonates with my life where I currently am now, and how far I would like to be next year. Notice I said how far. God’s timing is everything. The words that we choose for ourselves matter and can strengthen us for the journey. My word for 2023 is alignment. I affirm that whatever I am doing not just in 2023 but right now will be in alignment with what God’s word says and the life that he desires for me. Anything apart from that stays here. Of course every year comes with its own set of challenges, but it’s how we move through, and who we move through with, that assures how we sail through and come out on the other side. God is steering the ship dear friends. A few scripture references that release power to my word for the year are Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you.” Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not in your own understanding.
