How To Own Your Space
Building a faith-driven business isn’t just about creating a product; it’s about aligning your work with God’s purpose. It involves owning your digital space with faith, connecting authentically with your audience, and serving with purpose.
My Blogging Journey and Why It Became The Best Decision
Sometimes life whispers to us in the most unexpected ways. It began with a name that came to me so clearly, placed on my heart: My Life, Your Inspiration. I didn’t know exactly where it would lead, but the name lingered, staying with me and stirring something deep inside. At the time, I wasn’t even sure about starting a blog. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized this wasn’t just a random idea; it was a calling.
The world is noisy, filled with platforms and spaces we don’t own, where the rules can change at any moment. But starting my blog gave me something different – a space of my own. It wasn’t just a creative outlet; it was a chance to share my story, my faith, and how God is working through my life in ways that inspire and encourage others.
This blog wasn’t born out of a business plan or a need to follow trends. It came from a place of purpose – a desire to take what I was experiencing , learning, and walking through, and use it to uplift someone else. And in this ever-changing digital world; it’s a decision I’m so grateful I made.
From Working Behind the Scenes to Building My Own Brand
Starting my blog wasn’t my first introduction to the world of business. In fact it, it wasn’t even my first experience with entrepreneurship. I’ve always been surrounded by it, especially growing up in a household where music and business were intertwined. My brother, a talented music producer, was the one who first brought me into the business world. Managing his career and navigating the entertainment industry’s complexities including contracts, major labels, and attorneys, served as my training ground. This is where I learned the ropes, understanding the ins and outs of managing a career and running a business.
I wasn’t a stranger to high stakes, and I certainly wasn’t new to the idea of starting something from scratch and seeing it grow. The entertainment world taught me a lot about persistence, adaptability, and how to build and maintain relationships. So when the idea of starting a blog began to take root, it felt natural. It wasn’t a leap into the unknown- it was just the next step in a journey I had already been walking.
But even with all this experience, there was something uniquely different about starting my blog. It wasn’t just about business or making money; it was about something much more personal. It was about owning a space where I could pour out my story, my faith, and my experiences in a way that could encourage others.
I’ve been blessed to experience various forms of success, but I’ve learned that money in all its forms isn’t what truly drives me. God has always been my provider. He’s always supplied what I needed, and his faithfulness goes far beyond any monetary gain. I’ve come to realize that there’s so much more to life than the pursuit of wealth- it’s about using what we have to serve others and honor God.
The Joy Of Blogging
Starting my blog has been one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences of my life. It has allowed me to express myself in ways I’ve never imagined possible. What began as a simple idea-sharing my life to inspire others has blossomed into something much greater, guided by a deeper purpose. What makes blogging so special to me is that it’s not just about the words I write, but about how the Holy Spirit leads every step of the process.
In the early days of blogging, I did it with a sense of trial and error, figuring out my voice, and trying to master SEO. But over time, I realized that this process could be so much more. I could invite God into my journey. Now, before I write or decide on a topic, I go to him first. I ask for his guidance. What’s needed right now? What message should I share with my readers? Every post, every topic, every word I type has his influence. It’s no longer just about creating content- it’s about allowing Him to use me to speak into the lives of others.
Every time I sit down to write, I feel a sense of peace, knowing I’m not just sharing my thoughts, but that I’m sharing what he wants me to say. This joy of blogging goes beyond simply sharing tips or advice-it’s about connecting with my readers in a meaningful, soul-deep way, encouraging them, and knowing that God is working through me.
